Operator guidance for quality

Stop defects at the step where they happen. Prove it afterwards.

Manual steps are where most variation enters the product. Arkite validates operator actions, inspects the product during assembly and records every step against the order and serial number.

Sound familiar?

What quality managers tell us.

  • We find the defect at end of line, after all the value has been added.

    Late detection

  • Every root cause analysis ends with “operator error”, and nothing changes.

    Root cause

  • A missing washer is impossible to see once the product is closed.

    Hidden defects

  • When a customer complains, I cannot prove what happened to that unit.

    Traceability

How Arkite solves it

Four quality problems, and what changes with Arkite.

  1. Arkite detects a part placed in the wrong orientation on a circuit board and projects "Wrong orientation" before the operator can continue
    01

Errors are stopped at the step, not at end of line.

    Today
Defects are found at end of line, when rework costs the most.
    With Arkite
A 3D sensor checks every pick and assembly action and its order. A wrong part or step warns the operator straight away.
  2. The reached torque value is projected next to the assembly after tightening with a connected smart tool
    02

Every screw at the right torque, and proven.

    Today
You cannot be sure every screw was tightened with the right tool and torque.
    With Arkite
Connected smart tools only work at the right step and position. Arkite confirms the torque before the next step and stores the value per unit.
  3. The vision sensor detects a missing washer and the projection tells the operator: Washer R2 missing
    03

Hidden defects found before the product is closed.

    Today
Small parts, wrong orientation or bent cables are hard to see, and invisible once the product is closed.
    With Arkite
With Arkite VISION a camera checks the product during assembly, from parts of 0.5 cm, before the next step starts. The detection runs locally.
  4. Batch number, cycle time and step progress projected on the workstation next to the inspection result
    04

Proof per unit when an auditor or customer asks.

    Today
Audits and complaints ask for proof that is hard to produce.
    With Arkite
Every step of a serialized unit is stored with operator, time, check results and torque values, optionally with photos. Instruction changes are logged and cannot be altered.
What changes for you

From end-of-line detection to in-process control.

  • Down

    Defects leaving the station

Errors are stopped at the step where they happen.

  • Down

    Scrap and rework

Corrections happen before value is added on top.

  • Down

    Customer complaints

    Fewer escapes reach the customer.

  • Up

    First pass yield

More units right the first time.

  • Up

    Traceability per unit

Every step, check and torque value on record.

  • Up

    Audit readiness

    Evidence available without searching paper.

The size of each effect depends on your process. It is measured on your own pilot workstation.

Three validation depths

Choose the control level each process requires.

01

Guided confirmation

Projected instructions with operator confirmation by touch screen, virtual button, hardware button or foot pedal.

02

Operator validation

The 3D sensor verifies every pick and assembly action and its sequence. The workflow continues after a correct action and warns the operator on an error.

03

Product inspection

A Vision sensor inspects the product during assembly, before the next step starts. AI detection algorithms give reliable, stable results, even when the sensor shifts slightly. They run locally and are included in the Arkite VISION license.

Questions from quality

Does every workstation need Arkite VISION?

No. Mixed-license environments are supported, so Arkite VISION can be used on the stations where presence, orientation or position is critical, and Arkite GUIDE or Arkite VALIDATE elsewhere.

What happens when a check fails?

The workflow does not continue. The operator is shown the deviation on the workbench and follows the rework path defined for that result.

Do Arkite VISION AI detections need an internet connection?

No. The AI detection algorithms of Arkite VISION run locally on the workstation and need no internet connection. They are included in the Arkite VISION license.

Is Arkite used in regulated industries?

Arkite is deployed in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical device and general manufacturing. Version management with approval, per-unit traceability, audit logging and role-based access support compliance requirements.
