Applications · Assembly

Complex assembly, executed the same way every time.

Arkite projects each assembly step onto the workstation and can validate it in real time before releasing the next step. The correct job and variant are selected by scan, on the operator screen or from a connected system such as an MES, and every unit leaves a complete record.

The operation

The core of manual production

Final and line assembly bring together components, tools and critical process steps such as priming, gluing or fastening. In high-mix environments, the procedure changes with each variant, sometimes from one unit to the next.

Paper instructions and memory cannot keep pace with that variation. Arkite turns the procedure into a structured, validated workflow on the workbench itself.

Typical challenges

Where assembly goes wrong

01

Variant complexity

Combinations of options and markets multiply the number of procedures an operator must know.

02

Skipped or reordered steps

Critical steps are missed or done out of sequence, with quality and safety consequences.

03

Wrong or missing components

Look-alike parts and open sequences leave room for human error.

04

Rotation and new operators

Frequent rotation and interim staff increase training effort and supervision.

How Arkite works here

From order to validated unit

  1. 01

    Operator logs in

A badge scan identifies the operator and sets the experience level. Novices receive more guidance; experienced operators see only what they need.

  2. 02

The right job and variant load

The workstation loads the job and variant from a barcode scan, the operator screen or a connected MES, ERP or database. A PLC can supply the product ID and signal when the product is clamped, so the job starts only then.

  3. 03

    Each step is projected

Instructions, part locations and placement outlines appear directly on the workbench and product, with detail on the operator screen.

  4. 04

    Each action is validated

With Arkite VALIDATE, the 3D sensor confirms picks, placements and tool use. The workflow continues after a correct action and warns the operator in case of an error.

  5. 05

    The product is inspected

With Arkite VISION, the Arkite Vision sensor checks small parts, orientation and position during assembly, before the next step starts.
